Un torneo internacional con cuatro jornadas inolvidables
Choosing the best golf courses in Tenerife isn’t easy – the island has so many incredible options! The tournament took place across Golf Los Palos, Golf del Sur, Golf Costa Adeje, and Abama Golf, over three intense days, bringing together 70 players from all over Europe.
The championship began on Wednesday at Golf del Sur with a Shotgun Texas Scramble, facing strong winds that made the day a true challenge. On Thursday, the competition moved to Golf Costa Adeje with a Shotgun Four-ball Stableford, and concluded on Friday at Abama Golf with a Shotgun Canada Cup Stableford.
Although the long-anticipated hole-in-one with a Tag Heuer watch from Ideal Joyeros was not achieved, exciting moments were constant in both first and second categories.
Tournament Results
First Category
Champions: Roberto Gimeno and Guillermo Cabrera – 156 points
Second place: Michel Preud´homme and Yves De Bellefroid – 155 points
Third place: Alan Sierra Abbott and Pedro Enrique Campelo Rodríguez – 151 points
Second Category
Champions: Anastasia Shevchenko and Stephane Llopis – 137 points
Second place: Xavier Brutyn and Helmut Deloof – 131 points
Third place: Julián Roberto García Sancho and Tomás Elías Delgado David – 130 points
Special prizes were also awarded for Longest Drive and Nearest to the Pin, including a fun prize for the lowest score, consisting of a golf lesson that brought laughs and applause during the awards ceremony.
More than just golf
The event combined sport with leisure, gastronomy, and networking. Local restaurants and partners such as Mesón Castellano, Goxoa, El Empaquetado, Bahía Beach, Venture Group, Pan a Pan, and Asador La Camella showcased the best of Canarian cuisine.
This tournament also concluded an international pre-phase held in Belgium, with three satellite tournaments in Ternesse Golf & Country Club, Golf Club De Kluizen, and Millennium Golf Paal, gathering more than 300 participants throughout the year and positioning Tenerife as a top destination for golf lovers.
